Lenvil "Gene" Wright, 69, Pleasant Valley, MO, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Graveside services 1:30 pm Saturday, March 26 at Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, MO; visitation 11-1 pm Saturday at Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville, MO. Gene was a proud Vietnam era veteran, serving in the U.S. Submarine Service, USS Lafayette SSBN-616. Gene is survived by his wife, Martha "Marty"; son, Derek Wright; brothers, David Wright (Debbie), and John Wright (Darla); sister, Wendy Preston (Steve); other relatives and friends. My experience with "Gene" was that he was a good guy and seemed always happy. I enjoyed hanging out with him and talking with him.
